All the materials and packaging in an ECOMAX Brush is completely plastic free. The timber is rubber wood which after about 30 years of productive life producing latex is then harvested for its timber. The rubber trees even produced the natural rubber cushioning used in the brush which is known to be anti-bacterial, hypo-allergenic and anti-dust mite. The pins are made from bamboo, another fast growing sustainable material. Our simple packaging of a swing tag tied with jute string mean that everything about these brushes is plastic free.
Hand crafted solid timber
Over time glues weaken and give up, particularly in damp environments like bathrooms. A solid timber brush has no glues so will last a lifetime. Rubber wood despite its name is a very durable hardwood belonging to the maple family. It has a beautiful appearance, ranging from blonde to a medium tan with distinct flecks and swirls of colour adding character and making every brush unique.
